Lower Still
I asked the Lord this morning: "Abba, why are there only a few that burn for you?" and so gently He responded "Because they do not know Me." Few know the Lord because very few ask of the Lord to bring them deeper into His heart, yet still His Spirit cries out to be known in fullness by His Bride. Let us not reject Him in His jealous pursuit to bring us into the depths of His heart.
Bring us to our knees, O God. You said that You would come and rain righteousness on us, and I am asking You for the rain. Send the fires of revival, send the rains of revival, cause Your Church to lose themselves in You. It is the hour for the nations and every family of the earth to give the Lord the glory that He is due. It is time that we bring an offering, and come into His courts with thanksgiving and praise to worship Him not for what He can give us but for the beauty of His holiness. Tremble before Him, all the earth! (Ps. 96:9)
"For He is coming, to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth." (Ps. 96:13) Deliver us from apathy and indifference O God. If the mountains melt like wax at Your presence, and if the earth sees You and trembles, I desire to be like mush at Your feet. Crucify me until there is nothing left but You.
Abba, I don't just want to rest on Your chest, I want to be inside Your chest, that the beat of Your heart would be the only sound in my head. Take us into the depths of Your heart. From glory to glory to glory, let us be lost in the endless and vast oceans of Your love. To know You in all Your fullness and glory, that nothing else would ever compare to Your great pursuit of all our affection. You are the only reason that I am alive, the only reason that I breathe. The only One I love, the only One that wears the crown.
"Oh COME, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand." (Ps. 95:6-7) Bring us lower, lower, lower still. Abba, melt me in Your Presence.
To the True and Good Shepherd. To the One who goes before and behind. To the One who yearns jealously within for every ounce of our affection. To the One who desires burning hot, laid down lovers... burning, burning, burning...lost in love lovers, on fire and fiercely in love. Abba, I want to burn, set me on fire like I've never known.
"Most, assuredly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to kill, steal and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and life more abundantly." (John 10:7-10)
He is the door. We cannot know the Father if we do not enter into His presence. There is no life without entering in to His presence. He has COME that we would have life, but if we do not abide in His Presence, we have no life.
Enter in, friends...cry out for more, for the deeper still...and the lower still...love of Abba. There is always more as we posture ourselves at His feet. Lord, teach us to enter into Your heart and never leave. That we would remain, that we would abide, that we would stay, that we would tremble and be consumed and overcome by love and the revelation of Your glory. LORD TEACH US TO PRAY and to worship You as You desire to be worshipped, in the way that moves Your heart and satisfies Your soul. Teach us to bring You the offerings that move Your heart, that we would know You as You desire to be known.
Deliver Your Bride from boredom, apathy and indifference to Your voice. Deliver us from itching ears and the bowing down to all other voices and teachers. May our ears be tuned in to only one sound and only one Voice.
To the sweetest King that ever is, Jesus bring us in. Let us never resist Your invitation to enter, to walk through the door of Your presence, to sit at Your feet and bring You offerings of praise simply because You are Lord.
Like Mary and the alabaster flask, may I become the oil and the tears that are poured out at Your feet, to minister to You and love You and know You as You long to be known by the sheep of Your pasture.
Abba, I belong to You. I am Yours alone, and every desire of my heart belongs to You. You can have it all, O Lord. Make me a laid down lover of my Father and of my friends, lost in Your embrace, lost in Your eyes.
Church, He desires the title of your Best Friend, of your Husband, of your King, of your God. He desires a life laid down, spilled out at His feet, not lukewarm or indifferent to His voice. I urge you...do not resist Him but repent and return for He is coming soon and the door is open for you to enter in to His heart while you can. Abba, bring us deeper still and lower still, teach us to abide.
"Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the scriptures say in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously?" But He gives more grace. Therefore, He says: God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
James 4:4-6
Get low, and get God. There is no time to lose.
Kaylee.
